  1. @N Fels Modern japan makes it easier and went one step further, eliminating any subdivision of the currency. Only yens exist, no sens, no pennies, no shillings.

  3. The crown is used as swedish, danish, and Norwegian currencies (krune, kroner, etc).

  4. Hmm. I thought Canada had pounds til the early 20th century... Looked up and it was replaced in 1858. Thank you for giving me the question to research.

  5.  @mabamabam  The world still uses base 60 and base 12 for time. We need to decimalize that too. Metric time, please.

  6.  @xXJ4FARGAMERXx  Nothing wrong with using a second as the base. We already have millisecond, so maybe a kilosecond (1000 seconds) could be the metric hour, but we'd still say ks; no point in making new names any more than with metres. A megasecond would be a metric week (again, no need for new terms--just say Ms).
