7:17 In many countries, there are no landfills. The govt burns the trash in incinerators. Very efficient incinerators can double as power plant.

@Playsinvain A horizon cannot be destroyed. Even if a comet struck the earth, there would still be a horizon, just a firey or cratery one 😋

@-Subtle- And medical supplies, etc would be non-existent. I prefer to live. I actually propose making better and stronger plastic rather than the weak kind. (BN v walmart bags). Sturdier would be able to be reused and business could offer percentage off purchase or charge for bags.

How do the floating windmills float without toppling over?

Not trolling here--i believe in climate change and want to help, but won't the reduction in CO² mean we're suffocating trees and we'll then get less of them? There is only 0.04% of CO² in atmosphere compared to 21% of O². Since fires need oxygen to spread and there are numerous wildfires across the globe, shouldn't we (also) reduce oxygen levels?

Deaths: 1 confirmed from radiation, 2,202 from evacuation. Non-fatal injuries: 6 with cancer or leukemia, 37 with physical injuries, 2 workers taken to hospital with radiation burns.¹ Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare: 13. 31 January 2019. Retrieved 18 March 2021.

@iareid8255 Oh, so still anchored in. Thank you

@davidjacobs8558 Cap and trade babies?

@MrNeptunebob The military is part of the govt. Personnel work for the govt. Nuclear reactor personnel worked for the Soviet govt. Chernobyl happened. Just because a govt agency runs things, doesn't mean it's good, the people aren't overworked, or the equipment is outdated and in need of non-budgeted maintenance.

@Kredo800 Chernobyl is Ukraine now...unless Russia annexed that too when I was asleep 😏

If meal worms eat plastic, how did the guy order them? Inside the cardboard box, the worms were in a plastic bag.

Fusion is easy. Just alter the gravitational field within a certain area. - Q (the star trek TNG Q, not that wannabe american conspiracy one)

Please let me know how to bold a word or phrase. It doesn't seem to work anymore.

Not my legos!

Theoretically, we could put massive solar farms in the peripheral of deserts across the planet that are interconnected so that the sun is always shining on 2-3 of them at a time.
1
You'd have to make a predator for the predator too then 😉

What if we forget where we buried ALL of them or have a dark age in the meantime?

It seems taboo to even mention nuclear on Australian news or shows when talking about cutting carbon amd climate change. It's the elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about.

Here's an idea: tethered weather ballons to an insulated electrical cable connected to a vertical wind turbine and solar panels, suspended high in the atmosphere where there is more wind from the jet stream???🤔

Shoot it off to space. 😋🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🛰

@Gomlmon99 Not all are stored this way.

I prefer my drinks straight from the wooden barrels 🍺🍻🍺🍺🍻🍺🍺🍻

@JohnBoen "This ship is unsinkable." "With our modern technology..." Fate: tempted.

@VFPn96kQT You do realise that plants and animals have died too, right? Guess that's good for the planet too. Get everything off the hunk of rock that is earth, right? It's supposed to be a rocky planet, not a green and water covered planet, right? Geez.

@vodkaboy Please read who I had responded to first.

Wall-E?

Isnt that the same argument for plastic? We can just reuse and recycle it.

I'll take the ZPM...

@MrNeptunebob Think Chernobyl buried many in a $100 billion coffin 🤔

I've always wondered why we have trash that we need to take to the curb instead of trash and recycling pipes like we have for water pipes. Taking the trash out would be as simple as flushing the toilet to get rid of 💩...and just like toilets, you can "flush"after each use rather than letting it pile up.

So precious....that's why we kill and consume them.

That's actually a running joke, not an actual solution. 😋🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🛰🛰🛰🛸🔥🔥🔥☄☢☢☢☢⛔

I get what you're saying, but can you live within 100 kilometres of a damaged coal plant? How about in 20,000 years?
1
@EnlightenmentLiberal Those that do go in, don't go all the way in and must wear protective gear and be mindful to throw their clothes away. They are required to leave exclusion zone and be out for at least 3 days before returning. Hardly living, but whatever floats your boat.
1
Irradiated topsoil that had to be removed. The radiation levels are still too high to move back. Not as bad as Chernobyl (20,000 years before they can move back), but still.
