  1. Well, he will face a competitive election. He decided against having the Aussie parliament from rewriting the constitution so he could stay in power indefinitely. And a competent governor-general would prevent anyone from doing so. Different parties, checks and balances, federalism... 😉

  2. Not that anybody checks sources anymore, but the wallstreet journal never said the virus originated in the US. It just said that the virus appeared in the US earlier. Vast majority of scientists (not just from the US or its allies) still believe the virus originated in China from a bat. Look, China. It happens. Level-headed people shouldn't be blaming you for wildlife. It could have been a wierd switch of the earlier migrational dice where China developed in Europe and Europe developed in East Asia. We shouldn't blame the "Europeans" in this case anymore than you. Luck of geography.
