Best_Horse Id go for tolerance for both religious and atheists alike. Both can kill each other and themselves, but both can also get along in peace.

Should immigration quotas and other major issues be voted on in a binding referendum?

@solemndivinity3 Even the 2-term issue is fairly recent, relatively speaking. Prior, it was tradition, but FDR ran it up to 4 terms. An amendment to codify this 2-term issue into the constitution followed soon. But guess who will never vote for the same thing for themselves? Some of those congressmen and senators probably shook hands with FDR 😋

That's what Xi said 😏🥁

Programming note: the show is now called Ukraine Zone due to devoting itself solely to this topic for 10+ episodes.

@TrisPD100 Well, to be fair, a brit couldn't tell a Norman from a Picards or an Auvergnat. Just call them all French 😏

Difnt people say they blame the Russian govt and not the Russian people? Are there Russian politicians in the Russian tourist groups, and if so, why doesn't the headline say that instead?

Like the us destroyed all the economies of the independent states?

@JamesC785 And cuban missiles in the 60s were on less than 1% of the American border. So what? My apologies. I remember history differently. I didn't know the US just said "cuba is a sovereign country. They have every right to choose whom to ally with. If that means soviet bases and missiles, so be it. Even if they are an adversary." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Single-payer internet. Govt is sole buyer, internet companies negotiate price with govt. Govt charges an extra 0.3% tax on all.

Just a thought, but they mentioned if they delayed the Olympics, it will look like they're cohosting. Excuse me? How about pushing all countries back? Tokyo takes the 2024 slot, Paris 2028, etc. Or switch the years of the winter Olympics. Tokyo summer oympics 2022, Beijing winter Olympics 2024, etc. Side note: didn't china last do the Olympics in 2008? Thats less than 15 years between, regardless of summer v winter. Last time tokyo did it was 1964, which I may not be good at maths but I can tell is longer than 15 years. Bias much? I say all cities over 100,000 population in every country must host Olympics or turn down before a city may repeat. Fairness

That is disturbing. I do enjoy certain aspects of Japanese culture (compare living in new York to tokyo), but the prosecutorial system needs some major reform. Personally, I'm against detention at all until proven guilty--have the police tag the accused with a bracelet or something. No country, no matter how progressive, believes in freedom until prosecution though. As far as this interview, that is kinda his thing though. If Sebastian or another Conflict Zone host were to do regular questioning, it would not be Conflict Zone. That being said, I don't blame Carlos. He had to endure Japanese prosecutorial questioning and probably didn't research how Conflict Zone conducts interviews.

@Steven Strain Not sure if that would be allowed as laws are usually not retroactive. If I rode a donkey in town in May and the town made a law to not ride donkeys in town in June, I would be immune to prosecution for riding in May in nearly all countries with rule of law. If I rode my donkey again in June or after, then I'm fair game...

They just filled the void the CDU/CSU left when they moved to the left. Outside the extremists, they are analogous to pre-trump republicans.

🇺🇸🇨🇳: "International law for thee, but not for me." The international courts should have the right to suspend UN membership (including security council membership) for any member who ignores its rulings. Cant issue arrest warrants or summons for a nation, cant garnish wages of a nation, cant imprison a nation, etc. That would be the only power of enforcement they could have. Would also make the security council more accountable--with much power comes much responsibility.

Why is there international waters separating countries, but no international land separating countries? In other words, why are the borders between France and Germany (or US and canada) right against each other as opposed to a stretch of 30 km on each side for international land?

Libertarian party, green party: Um, hello? Strength can only come from voting and media time. I would like more, but third party is a misnomer. Proportional representation would help.

@danielgeistzer513 Media coverage also dictated by who owns 1 out of the 3 big media companies.

Kaliningrad separated from russia proper is a silly situation. The closest I could think is alaska with the us (separated by canada). Now imagine Canada has cutoff Alaska land routes because the EU asked it to (let's say for violating international treaty for the environment which the us signed). I guarantee you, regardless if republican or democrat president and/or congress, the us would react and not in a "let's negotiate" fashion, but in a "liberate Canada" way. 🚀🚀🚀🚀🛰🛰🛰🚢🚢🚢🛬🛬🛬

@phaheemvlogs7261 Can't be worse govts than what most africans have now. Sad, but many Zimbabweans, when Ian Smith was still alive, wanted him to come back to power as Mugabe had shown his true colours by then. There is still racism and ethnicism in many african countries- just now based on whichever ethnic group does not occupy the presidency (notice nearly all African countries are now presidential systems - winner take all, without the safeguards of parliamentary head of state). Pluralism is an unachieved dream.

Germany already is green on my globe. France is blue and Italy is orange... 😋

She's been in power longer than Russia's Putin has been in the same office (he bounces between president and prime minister) 😋

@johndesohn7973 Agreed there. Sometimes I want vanilla and strawberry on top, sometimes caramel, and sometimes a little chocolate. Variety is good 😉

@xavierzacheriah6038 We don't need to import more people nor produce more babies. We need to build more machines. Reduce cost of living substantially (econ of scale, automation). 🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖

@anthony19871114 Can westerners even say "yellow" in reference to a Chinese person anymore--even the yellow emperor? PC, you know...
