Let the EU have their own defence force. That defence force can join NATO if it wants.

US only country that activated NATO Article 5 (mutual defence), and under false pretences and lies in 2001 (that is still active, to my knowledge). US should be paying NATO members for their subterfuge and wrongful deaths of other countries' veterans. And, IIRC, US refused to even consider another NATO member from activating Article 5...essentially because they weren't the big dog US and how dare they.

@peabase I was referring to the EU joining and using a unified defence force. Sorry if the wording was off. In such a case, the EU would have to take over membership of the EU members in NATO as the unified defence force would be used by the EU, much like if each US state had their own armies joined in a North American League (if US were a confederaxy or alliance). If the US member states became a full country, then the membership status in the NAL would have to be changed to the US from Alabama, texas, Virginia, etc.

IIRC, US benefited from NATO by being the only country that activated Article 5 (global war on terror / revenge on wrong countries that didnt attack). So, US should pay the most by using other countries militaries to its falsified wars. Why should Germany or other EU members and Canada pay for american adventurism?
