  1. Just a thought, but I would think not having repealed the mandatory military service (or alternative community service) would have integrated the recent immigrants into german culture better. That and sponsorship dispersing would prevent ghettos, etc.

  3.  @solemndivinity8235  Even the 2-term issue is fairly recent, relatively speaking. Prior, it was tradition, but FDR ran it up to 4 terms. An amendment to codify this 2-term issue into the constitution followed soon. But guess who will never vote for the same thing for themselves? Some of those congressmen and senators probably shook hands with FDR 😋
