At least Johnson didn't hold a rally encouraging his followers to storm Parliament. 😉 I feel we are setting a new low bar...

@evgenylyashkov4115 North Ireland: thank you for accepting us as a sovereign nation independent of the UK. 😁

I doubt England wants to pay for the North Irish either. NOIREXIT

@BernasLL If you're referring to the UK with Scotland, doesn't Catalonia also have its own parliament with limited home rule (albeit with new elections that were more pleasing to their Spanish overlords)? If referring to the EU with UK as a whole, then yes. Much looser (when it was a member).

How does singapore do it? They're a sovereign nation smaller than Oxfordshire that manages economic success and GDP per capita of $107,000 PPP. They have a hard border with Malaysia, but also have access to the sea, just like Britain. I'm no Brexiteer, just curious about the doom and gloom...

Catalonia: "oh, excellent. Can we too-" Spain: "silence! I'll arrest you!"

@ktelite Does Scotland have its own foreign minister? Does it have its own military? Does scotland send an ambassador to the UK or does it send MPs? Scotland is no more a country than Texas is.

@ktelite I will grant you that - the UK is more willing to let states go than the us. Last time some us states tried to separate, the US sent troops to squash the rebel alliance. And I mean no disrespect when I refer to Scotland as a state (subnational entity). I merely mean that, according to international law, the UK is the country and Scotland is a state (subnational entity) as opposed to France in relation to the EU (country and supranational organization, respectively). Makes it easier for international treaties and negotiations for clear cut universal definitions (remember the old holy Roman empire maps?)

Just be glad the union didn't send troops like the american northerners did in response to SOUTHCAROLINEXIT, GEORGEXIT, VIRGINEXIT, TEXIT, etc (aka Confederacy).

Didnt timestamp, so please forgive if I misunderstood. Greenland is not a sovereign country. It is part of denmark. As such, no sovereign country before UK has left the EU.
