  4. Held responsible for life and property would imply multiple life terms or death penalty. Of course, we'd probably treat the perp as a corporation and just fine them. As we all know, corporations are people, but people above the law. Murder thousands of people with faulty brakes? Here's a fine. Carry on. We should have corporate death penalty (dissolution and proceeds go to victims, not shareholders or even bondholders). Sure, would cause a ripple in the economy, but if single corporations cause too big of a fail, then they are too big to exist(anti-trust their assets).

  6. Isnt PGE cutting back services ins one areas and reducing power in reaction to inability to raise rates? Money doesn't grow on trees...unless your the fed.

  7. Can homeowners in affected areas or burnt homes sue the federal govt for climate change inaction as cause of fire? Class action billion $$$ pay out? Govt may then get off its asset and do something about it as it would cost more being sued than to reduce emissions and other climate change prevention tactics.

  9. Insurance - company you give money to so that they refuse to pay you back when you need them, so you have to pay someone else (lawyer) to make them pay you. Is there a middleman we can cut out?

In the us and canada, in the defined benefit pension world (the traditional pay you set money for life system as opposed to defined contribution 401k that can be wiped out in stock crash), the govt has a penis on guarantee programme that will cover your penis on in case the company you worked for, or the company that company put in charge of, goes bankrupt. In other words, penis on still gets paid.
