@TheNetherwalker Iirc, in sweden and some other European countries, advocates/prosecutors are duty bound to the truth and act as impartial investigatory judges rather than adversarial prosecutors who actively seek to find only the evidence for a crime and disregard the evidence against.

@tevarinvagabond1192 Then why are you watching the cop + lawyer show? Plenty of cop only shows. I'm probably one of those oddballs who wants to see the return of law and order trial by jury series. Only 1 partial season befor egetting axed.

Thought they could react to verbal assault. Disturbing the peace or disorderly conduct? In texas, that is a crime to do so at a cop.

@a.carneirozhu8104 Mostly yes. Read somewhere that in some cases the lawyer is duty bound to tell the judge (defendant is actively seeking new victims, etc) Please disregard if incorrect. I'm not a lawyer

Only get SVU on tv. Sad. I like variety. S-x is ok, but not every episode. How about some white collar?

21:35 This actually got me an interesting idea for a new series of legal eagle. You are the lawyer for both sides of an argument (different lighting/placement shows who's side you are arguing at the time). You could start with Roe v Wade since that's in the news. And since you're a lawyer, I'm sure you could argue both sides strongly.

13:42 "Isn't it that you have no idea that the hoodie wasn't the same one that the suspect didn't wear?" ✔️✔️✔️

3:03 Well, the guy they grabbed had just verbally assaulted an officer 🤔 In america, isn't that grounds for a little friendly cop-tazing? 🚷 --> In Texas, verbal assault of an officer is a crime (disorderly conduct) 8:49 So if the police can lie to you, why can't you lie to the police? They have citizens arrest, why not citizens lie? 9:44 If the police lying leads to a confession, can the suspect recant as being misled, under duress or emotional strain, etc?

@drakron The election might be key. Election shows that the states attorney, etc are gonna push the prosecutors and not be impartial. They want to get reelected like a politician.
