Pro-birth, not pro-life. The govt doesn't care to support the child after birth.

Kiwi here. America is...out there. Our political system is more in line with yours than the anglosphere (proportional representation, unitary state, unicameral, etc).

Definitely her choice. Should also be the partners choice to stay or not, without monetary payments if they both just wanted to have fun (binding sex certificates?). Takes two to tango. If the woman doesn't want the child, and the man doesn't either - no issue; if the woman doesn't want the child, but the man does - he can ask to bring to term and he will take full responsibility including monetary, or she can deny request and abort; if the woman wants the child, but the man doesn't - she will take full responsibility including monetary; if they both want the child - jointly responsible.

Conservative means to hold what is. Abortion has been legal since 1973. Since its age, abortion should be conservative. Reformists seek to change, not conservatives.

2:35 Isnt the loophole that the person who wants an abortion can claim rape and just say they didn't see the person (so no one is charged)? Not advocating such, just curious.

5:05 Sorry, how do you ban mastication? Obviously, if one is doing it on main street, yeah, that guy (or lady) needs to be dealt with. But if you're in your own home, how do they enforce that? How do they even know? "Hey, look! Mr Gardner has a sock on his doorknob. Lets get him!"

@tatwood1123 Really curious about that. I'd imagine supermans step-parents went to jail for not reporting a child found on their property. But then again, it was the 50s (original movie superman) or before. I hope the new superman movie shows the step parents reporting and turning in superman like good citizens. 😋

Somewhat related, but I do believe in supreme/constitutional courts (separate constitutional council in france). Judicial review can seem undemocratic to some, but one democratic country didn't get the right for women to vote until 1973--Switzerland. They have referendum and constitutional amendments, but much weaker judicial review. As such, it just never was a priority to give women the vote and/or too many conservatives didn't agree with it.

He gets political. Pretty sure I saw anti-trump videos 😋

I remember when roe v wade was a water-based decision.😋

2:13 So they'd prosecute the one (doctor) who commits the act (abortion), but not the accessory (woman in question)? Is that normal? Especially, since the woman in question put out the hit (if you would pardon my Mafia terminology) on the fœtus. The doctor is merely a professional hitman in this case. Not anti-abortion, just following the logic presented.
