1:50 Instead of blinkist(?), use Wikipedia for the cliff notes of books. Its free.

You have the sea border (essentially 24 nautical miles), the exclusive economic zone (200 nautical miles), and international waters (The rest). Its bit more in depth (No pun intended).

The century of humiliation is predated by the times of inept and totalitarianism, which they could not shake even to this day. The yongle emperor had destroyed the Chinese fleet that sailed in the thousands, technologically advanced in the day. Democracy--which allows more than one person to make a decision--would have probably stopped such rash and stupid behaviour. China has to blame itself too for continuing totalitarianism.

To be like singapore, the city of London needs to declare independence.

@51d4r I had no issue. Then again, I'm a korean-kiwi living in texas so...😋

Salt mining & shipping? Why just do agriculture when you can sell organic salt too.

People in Quebec and Western Australia are thinking the same thing...

Boil. Yes, one way or another. Nuclear war or greenhouse

@FrankyXG How much? I could use some extra spending money 😋

The full get to bend over and break wind. 💩🤯🍻

@D Marrenal Easy enough. Bribe the chiefs. Has happened before

@youtube oqlk My first thought is adding more trees to agriculture means that it becomes harder to use highly efficient tractors for ploughing, seeding, and harvesting. Either more wasted areas or needing to do it by hand, both of which cost farmers money.

5:12 When was the law of the sea top secret? Pretty sure that's always been publicly available.

Superannuation might help if the bloody pm doesn't make you blow it on living expenses. Personally, I think private life annuities that pay out fixed sum monthly (backed by national pension guarantee so private companies don't just go bankrupt and deuces) are good. Add a bit of inflation adjusted annuities and you got yourself a deal.

Scotland could do what PRC (mainland china) did to ROC (taiwan), or Russia with the Soviet Union - take over the UK's security council seat as the successor to the UK. In the case of PRC, recognition of Taiwan was not allowed in the UN at all. Maybe Scotland would do the same with England. The Queen would be fine because most scots like her anyway. Plus, she's got several other realms she reigns over.

@nathanc939 If you're including modern day, the british and american empires were more powerful and brought better human rights (and yes, even by 19th century standards, it was better than the Persian human rights).

7:37 What's the purpose of an inner roundabout surrounded by an outer roundabout? It looks pretty, but I deduce no functional purpose.

@DavBlc7 wales also has its own native cross and lion flags.

@the1andonlytitch UK was formed in 1801 with great Britain (England, Scotland, and wales) and North Ireland. 1701 great Britain was formed with union of Scotland and England (Wales was already in union with england). Not sure what the naming scheme would be.

To get comments that ask that question

They should have done earlier right after canadian confederation. Now, would-be federations like your CANZUK or EU are seen as too big and encroaching on sovereign nation-states. Nevermind that the us and Canada were once independent sovereignish states.

7 km (4.3 mi) above sea level? Mt everest is only 4.2 km (2.6 mi) above sea level. Build a space port there, sheesh. 🙃🍻

This new youtibe app is glitchy

What would happen? Ukraine and Kazakhstan would be vying for the security council seat as successor of the Russian Federation.

Or Wikipedia. That's free

@knightdaemon4836 Technically its the Jumin (주민) Sea. Get it right 😋 * this makes more sense to people that read hangul. My (profile) name is Rhee Jumin.

@skulDoofen Poor people around it in all countries call it the Bathtub. 😋

I do wonder what wouldve happened had land followed the same law of the sea. Nations would have 10 km from their border town that would be their land "coast". Beyond that for 50 km would be its exclusive economic zone (farming, logging?). And beyond that would be international land. Would be interesting. Land ships (giant tanks?) Would carry cargo (no railways outside countries) and dock in land port towns. Land pirates in the international land area.

Funnily enough, the Suisse are 30% owners of all the seas. 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭💱💰💳

It's already happened before her reign. The British empire reformed to the loose commonwealth of nations where over half dont even recognize her as queen.
1
A major political shift did occur since the last referendum. In either case, better to have the release valve of democracy (including referenda) rather than domestic terror.

@jasonphoenix292 And I have never seen any Ffl with hair. Beards maybe, but not head hair. Is that just for boot camp or do they have to stay shaved for their entire career? If they have to shave their heads, do they have to shave their bodies too as it would look weird otherwise?
1
It would transfer based on the othe P5 nations votes.
1
City states like Singapore would be cool

Wouldn't all govt programmes be subject to lawsuits by anyone? If a person has the money and a reasonable case, that person can sue.

Why does the navy have the word army in it? Why not just the peoples liberation navy (nevermind the liberation part...who are they liberating from? Themselves? They run the country now). How about just put all branches in- People's Liberation Army Air Force Navy Marine Corps Coast Guard Reserves Special Forces (PLAAFNMCCGRSF) 😋
1
@ArawnOfAnnwn If a us president wanted to destroy the entire navy fleet like the yongle emperor did in china, you can bet the congress and the people would be in an uproar and stop him. And I'm no fan of the presidential system ad you can see in my previous comments, but at least there democratic safeguards. China's yes man committee would hardly say no to their dear supreme leader Xi.

@FrankyXG I doubt CR is being paid by the CCP anymore than I'm paid by the cia. I'm not...wish I were. More spending money...
