  1. Is abortion eugenics? Was watching ABC Australia in their discussion of Chinese "superbabies" but one thing missing from their conversation (id hardly call it a debate as they were all against changing humans) was the woman's choice. The west counts on women's choice in deciding the life/death of their fœtus as it is in their body. Courts and parliaments have stated that a fœtus is not a child (differing weeks and trimesters, etc). Further, like abortion, the parent can decide to circumcise their child in most countries, obviously without the child's or govt permission. Why then is it such a stretch to allow women's or parental choice of what genes they want to edit in their fœtus? Its not the govt's body, it's their body. Or editing after birth without the child's permission, like circumcision. Nanny statism much? Just my humble opinion.
