  5. Except totally not. The cables you speak of ALL carry the SAME voltage ALL the time EVERYWHERE. And that voltage is neglibile compared to other loads. Apart from that, we would still be using smart phones without Apple, but we would surely not drive electric cars today, without Tesla :-)

  7. No it doesn't. Without Tesla, we wouldn't have any kind of car chargers due to acute lack of electric cars. The automotive industry was VERY clear about that and did NOT like to be forced into this. They even blocked standards and tried the best to keep their old gasoline cash-cows. It's a home made problem of legislature and cartellized industries.

  10. Remember the time when car manufacturers refused to change and even prefered to trash EVs rather than selling them? Without Tesla, there would be NO connector as of acute lack of electric cars. LOL
