FARUMP maybe you are right. cut military spending, loopholes for rich people, tax churches and religions. that should cut back the bloated state. but science, infrastructure, education, helping poor people to survive should no be cut back since those things are what turns a group of people into a civilization in the first place. or what are you suggesting should be cut? btw I don't know what you are talking about when you say reagan proofs your point. public debt grew by 60% from $618 billion to $991 billion in his two terms and there was no 1922 or 2008 world economic crisis, that's just his tax cuts. all that for only a 0.75% higher growth rate compared to carter. basically if the government had spend the 380 BIllion dollars directly they would have created an additional growth of 7% based on 1980's gdp. so somehow the none bloated government and it's policies of tax cuts wasted 6% growth and 300billion dollars. it just doesn't add up which brings me back to my first comment. cutting taxes while having a deficit only creates higher debt and no real extra growth and I haven't seen any examples that would be exceptions to this simple 1.semester economics rule.

FARUMP so if you like to spent on the military (big government much?) and build strong boarders (fine with me) and surely trump keeps his promise of spending big on infrastructure, then that will cost money and there is no room for cutting taxes. it will only end up as a higher deficit and more debt. so they are not tax breaks, they are borrowed money. and even if none of this was a problem spending what would be borrowed by making up for tax cuts directly through the government would create a higher gdp growth as I have shown you. if you cut 300billion in tax you create maybe 0.7% more growth (in 1980's gdp), if the government spends the 300 billion directly it would create, by definitions, 300billion*100/gps=extra growth in %. very simple. btw governments are more efficient than you think. the german pension funds of the government only use 0.3% as administration costs, compared to the usual 4-6% of private pension funds. if a government has 300billion more to spend. almost all of that 300billion will be spend and hardly any new jobs need to be created in government since the structures already exist. so don't be to sure about yourself. also don't call my comment a rant. the tone you are reading my comments in says more about you then me. read my comment again and you will find it's a perfectly normal comment.
