  2. Except it IS taken out of context. The Talmud is a gigantic collection of commentaries by thousands of different rabbis over a long period of time, it contains many differing viewpoints. You aren't supposed to take to heart the entirety of the Talmud, partly because that isn't the point of the Talmud, but also because you literally can't, due to it containing many differing viewpoints. Your own comment is more laughable, given you apparently read the Talmud but didn't immediately make this distinction. Also strange how you would've been able to read it, given it is written entirely in Hebrew and Aramaic.

  16.  @Zurab_Rob  The Talmud is a huge collection of rabbinic commentary on the Torah, it contains lots of opposing viewpoints due to it being written by thousands of different rabbis over a huge period of time. Although it does contain many extreme opinions incompatible with the modern world, many supposed quotes are either taken out of context or are complete fabrications.

  17. Messianic Jews are predominantly not ethnically Jewish. They believe Jesus was the Moshiach and the son of G-D, one of the core tenets of Christianity and something completely incompatible with all denominations of Judaism. They also believe in proselytization, which is also incompatible with Judaism. They are not Jewish, and they are closer to Christianity than any other religion, so then what could Messianic Jews be??

  19. The context is that the Talmud is a gigantic collection of wildly differing opinions of thousands of rabbis over a long period of time, it is filled with the absolute craziest opinions, but also filled with differing viewpoints and disagreement and arguing.
