  1. Mercantilist analysis. EU consumers are big losers. EU rules have wiped out the smaller concerns eg civil engineering, railway rolling stock etc. Only the big fish can afford the compliance costs.

  5. Funny how does the Sweden government manage to get away with ignoring digital privacy? Anyone can look up anyone's name, address, telephone number, income and date of birth, released by the tax authorities. It's a scammers' paradise. Information used for security in Britain is all freely available on line on Sweden. Data protection? Forget it.
