  1. ​ @jolyon_lb1423  On the basis of your definition, to use ethical or philosophical views as a basis for promoting restrictions on other people's rights would not be bigotry. One could otherwise argue that objecting to any laws - theft, murder or commonplace matters such as taxation - is bigotry. Some people argue that tax is a form of theft. The counter to that argument is that the state's claim on your property is based on some kind of ethical foundation. Is that correct?
