@juliantheapostate8295 Almost the entire UK tax system is a monument to fiscal ineptitude and has been since 1945. It is nothing more than a tariff of fines and penalties for legal and successful economic activities. Fiscal competence would mean taking the axe to the most damaging of these impositions. It cannot be so very difficult as the Chancellor could have begun almost anywhere.
