  1. Friends arrive back in Sweden last night from Ethiopia, no checks, no quarantine. Deaths statistics might be untrustworthy. The true numbers dying from CV may be fiddled in some countries by recording the co-morbidity as the cause.

  2. Cut carbs to <50g (dry weight) per day. Eat as much as you feel like of anything else and get about an hour or two of exercise a day and your weight will go down. But most prepared and ready made foods are loaded with starch and sugar so you have to read the labels carefully or cook all your own from scratch.

The Russian Orthodox Patriarch, in his sermon a couple of weeks ago, forbade people from going to church, and to emphasise the point, he referred to a popular Orthodox saint as a model - St Mary of Egypt, who lived alone in the desert east of the Jordan and did not go into a church for 47 years.
