Could there be a link between the severity of the disease and insulin resistance (diabetes/pre-diabetes/metabolic syndrome)?

This raises an important question. Given the range of effects from next to nothing to fatal pneumonia, within a couple of weeks there will be a lot of people who have had few or no symptoms, or thought they had a cold, and then recovered. If they have cleared the virus, they cannot give it to anyone else and don't need to isolate themselves; effectively, they have been vaccinated. If the curve has been stopped, it means that there as still a lot of people who remain vulnerable. I have pondered this myself. Like a lot of people, I have been sniffy with a bit of a sore throat since early February; my normal temperature is 36.3 but has been 36.9 the last couple of mornings and feeling a bit tired. Is this the infection, or is it nothing much, or is it my imagination? We need a test to determine if we have contracted this virus. I expect an explosion of cases in Sweden within the next fortnight.
