  1. Pity that SF does not have policies which would achieve the intended effect. Ireland's housing problem will not be helped by SF's policy of capping mortgage interest rates. Ireland's economy will also be harmed by Brexit; the UK and Ireland need to be in the same trading block as they have complementary economies and geographically close, which makes them natural trading partners.

  2. ​ Boomer Galactica  25% of Ireland's imports come from the UK. Why do you think that is? Short of uprooting Ireland from the sea bed and towing it into the North Sea, how is Ireland going to stop being dependent on Britain?

  3.  Boomer Galactica  Ireland is creating a problem for itself by cutting itself off from one of its main suppliers. The Irish will have to deal with the higher prices and extra transport costs. How much land and property in Ireland is still owned by the same British as before 1914?
