  1. All the economic arguments for remain are based on a seventeenth century theory of economics called 'Mercantilism'. This had been refuted before 1800, notably and famously, by Adam Smith, who wrote his book 'Wealth of Nations' to show that mercantilsm was based on a set of fallacies. This is worth following up. It is as if chemists were working to the Phlogiston theory, which was disproved about the same time as Mercantilism.
