  1. Nobody is talking about the supply difficulties, delays and added costs that will hit consumers and manufacturers in the EU after, and because of, Brexit. These will be disruptive, especially in the Irish Republic, and it will all be the EU's fault. Should be interesting. If the public in the EU is clued up, there will be a wave of anger against Brussels. It could even set the EU on the road to implosion. Please do a piece on Mercantilism, the seventeenth century economic theory which has always driven EU trade and economic policy, and that of the EEC before it. Mercantilism was shown to be false by all the classical economists, including Adam Smith in his famous book 'Wealth of Nations'. Why the EU runs polices based on a theory which went out with the Phlogiston theory is an interesting question.

  2. Swedes could have trouble getting hold of their favourite sweeties - Fisherman's Friends, made in Fleetwood. And other UK goodies too, such as Stilton and Scotch Whisky, Fuller's draught, Shepherd Neame's and English malt for the home brew and microbreweries. Probably the same story all over the EU. Hopefully people in the EU will realise the source of the problem and direct their anger at Brussels.
