  3. Please refine the debate. Taxes generally need to go down but some could safely go up. Corporation Tax, Stamp Duty and VAT need to be phased out, and fast. More money could be raised from the Council Tax, and, if the valuations were kept properly up to date, from the business rates, without damaging the economy. The more tax/less tax argument is dumb. Different taxes have different effects.
