I loved that car! Such a beautiful , sporty wagon. I love that thing. My favourite colour was the green metallic. And yes, the 1.6 4-pot was absolutely enough, and such a pleasure to drive. What a GRRRREAT video.

...see Ted, I got to try the new 135Mi the other day (the 5-door FWD platform, not sure you get that in the US? similar to the notchback you drove..), I mean that thing comes with AWD and an autobox, AND 306hp, it's FAST but it didn't feel nimble and 'CHUCKABLE' as the old stuff does...what a let down...it felt heavy and cumbersome, and wayyy too big for its intended purpose. The 4-cylinder sounded uninspiring too. See, I know I'm probably an 'old man' deep down, but the old stuff feels so much more appealing to me... the new 'overgrown' stuff does just doesn't cut it for me...

The layout of the E30 cockpit was sooo far ahead of the competition. And everything was very satisfying to touch and operate.
