"It's not the beef industry that's fighting ". No, it's pure greed. Nothing but profit matters.

All politics and business. President trump doesn't allow the adequate distribution of PPE for healthcare workers or anyone else except overpriced retail suppliers.

The first antibiotic was penicillin. It only took one year before ti was recognized that some bacteria had developed resistance to it. Anew antibiotic was brought out, methcillin! In six months Some bacteria had developed resistance to that. The bacteria were ready for antibiotics! All this other stuff blaming antibiotic resistance on people, doctors, hospitals, etc. would need to take this into account before reporting so broadly.

Easy to understand why Zuckerberg and so many other tech figures now have small personal armies guarding their safety, and keep increasing that protection annually.

Because people think death is the ultimate enemy. If someone has to feed me, don't. Use Fentanyl to let me sleep my way of this planet. Don't torture me off this planet. I am 75 in terrible condition. My stool test was positive for blood. My doctor immediately scheduled me for a colonoscopy. I was taking NSAIDS every day for arthritis. We will repeat the stool test after I am off NSAIDS an appropriate time. It will be negative. Big industry that colonoscopy business.

If greed and corruption was a nutritious and delicious food, there would be no hunger in the world. There is so much no one can control it. Plenty for everyone.

The current trumpy administration is scared of it's own incompetence, and just panicked when they realized Huawei was way ahead of the US. There is not enough brain power in the entire administration to figure out what to do next. They need to realize they have no educated Americans to help them.

I've seen vacuum packed steaks over twenty years old that were just gorgeous- irradiated.

Oil is hard to get at now. We first mopped up oil off the ground in Pennsylvania, now we drill six miles down in the open ocean, or permanently poison the earth with fracking, and none of that would happen without huge secret subsidies from the people of the USA. Plastic now takes less that a fourth of the oil and gas we are pumping, but Big Oil is committing huge crimes and human rights abuses making that part bigger. What ever happens, the important thing to remember is that the entire government: local, state, and federal, is owned by a small number of oligarchs and they alone determine what happens in the USA.

As far as risk: if all nuclear plants should be shut down because of risk, then first, all air travel should be limited to emergency, and that sparingly. All fossil fueled vehicles should be stopped. All electric generating plants that burn fossil fuels or other organic matter must shut down. The number of deaths from nuclear plants is very small. The number of deaths wholly or partly attributable to burning massive amounts of fossil fuels every day is huge.
