  1. As far as risk: if all nuclear plants should be shut down because of risk, then first, all air travel should be limited to emergency, and that sparingly. All fossil fueled vehicles should be stopped. All electric generating plants that burn fossil fuels or other organic matter must shut down. The number of deaths from nuclear plants is very small. The number of deaths wholly or partly attributable to burning massive amounts of fossil fuels every day is huge.
