It was 103 at my house early in the day. Over 101 all day. We had amazing rain, but we have sand instead of soil. The drought has been so bad, six inches of rain will be completely absorbed in one day. I elected to shelter in place. I try to talk to my friends about what we do when the electricity goes off. Last year a huge number of people here replaced their air conditioner systems with larger ones because the one that had been adequate for ten or fifteen years could not beat back the heat. Now we have a much bigger load for the power supply.
