Jesus wept for the city 70 years before it was destroyed. He warned the Pharisees that it would be destroyed. He also warned that "no one comes to the Father except by Him (Jesus) and called them a den of vipers and "synagogue of Satan" "He will come, and will destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others." Luke 20:16
