Britain has magnificent and beautiful culture.
From music to literature to sports, architecture, history, Medicine, technology, celebrity and the humorous, good natured, gritty and welcoming people of Britain, it’s insane to to think of Britain as anything less than a cultural treasure which has led the world in the invention of modern civilisation.
Edit, imagine deleting football/ rugby/ cricket from the world. Many people from many nations almost define themselves by their love for the now global, beautiful game. It is played by millions and watched and loved by billions. The game we know as football came out of Britain and British culture and spread through the world. It still has the most wealthy and famous football league in the world.
Full English breakfast, Sunday Roast, Fish and Chips are world class dishes. But Britain is highly underrated when it comes to its food and produce. Scottish smoked salmon, Single malt whiskey, Guinness, Maldon Salt, English Mustard, Worcestershire sauce, HP Sauce, Irish Stew, Pork Pie, Sausage rolls, Cornish pasty, Cheddar Cheese, Dorset Naga chilli, Fish pie, Lancashire hot pot, Bakewell pudding and the list goes on of things that are enjoyed by varying numbers of people outside of Britain.
Musically, Britain has been at the very Center of popular/rock/electronic music since the 60s and with America has given the world so much shared music culture you may not even think of some of the people in the list below as British.

The extraordinary contribution to literature, poetry and the western cannon itself, by Britain, cannot be overstated. Shakespeare, Emily Brontë, Jane Austen, JRR Tolkien, JK Rowling, Ian Fleming, Arthur Conan Doyle, George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, Rudyard Kipling, Geoffrey Chaucer, CS Lewis, Agatha Christie, Bram Stoker, Charles Dickens, HG Wells,, Arthur C Clarke, Terry Pratchet, Roald Dahl, Douglas Adams, William Wordsworth & Lewis Carol to name but a few writers.
Failing to see the beauty and magic in other cultures is sad, and it seems just as sad to fail to see whats great about British culture.
From Pubs to Monty python to Stonehenge to Oxford & Cambridge universities to British Motorsport to the expeditions to the North Pole, the fight against the Nazis in WW2, the trains, West Country Cider, the Mini Cooper, King Arthur, fine tailoring, London dry Gin, Parliamentary Democracy + English common law, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, Mr Bean and Binley Mega Chippy, there is a veritable panoply of interesting, useful and amazing British culture.
London for all it’s flaws is still Europes financial capital and a tourist hotspot. Britain invented the modern parliamentary system and the rule of law that billions of people live under today. It was the first major country in Earths entire history to abolish slavery and actively stamp it out worldwide. The Magna Carta, signed in 1215, was the first modern document to limit a rulers power and protect individual rights.
