@thecurlew7403 Dont be daft, most of the Royal Navy's frontline ships by 1945 were post WW1 classes.
Carriers: 4 Illustrious Class, 2 Implacable Class, 7 Colossus Class, 41 escort carriers of the Ruler and Attacker classes.
Battleships: 4 King George V class, 2 Nelson class
Cruisers: 6 Town class, 9 Fiji class, 11 Dido class, 3 Leander class, 2 Arethusa class, 2 Emerald class, 2 Swiftsure class, 8 County class. Only the C, Hawkins, and Danae class were actual WW1 ships.
Destroyers: 180 of various classes; mostly 1930s/40s designs. The Battle, Weapon, C, W, and Z classes etc were commissioned in the later half of the war.
