"Commander, you don't have the firepower" "I've got the mass" "Solid copy, hit em hard Gloworm"

@cantstanddogs4776 he was killed on 28th October 1918. Confirmed
4
HMS Hood was a fast battleship in all but name. She had the same armour thickness as a Queen Elizabeth class battleship. It didnt help the RN calling every capital ship that went over 25 kts a "battlecruiser".
3
@4rySatoru "German ships were far superior to RN" Source: I made it all up
3
@theAEDan what? Hood was sunk with one of the luckiest shots in naval history, this is backed up by historical evidence. You cant just dismiss the facts cause you dont like it. Facts dont care about your feelings
3
largest and fastest warship in the world for over a decade is hardly a hotel
3
No, that is a myth. HMS Hood didn’t have thin deck armor.
2
in your opinion Bismarck and Yamato are the most overrated imo.
2
Ships lost at Jutland were due to unsafe handling of ammunition
2
No it wasn’t. Bismarck used a pre ww1 armour belt layout that was inferior to KGV class, which had arguably the most efficient and modern armour belt layout of the war.
2
Because its BS. They found holes in Bismarcks conning tower, the thickest armor on the ship
2
Hitler: "We have no naval heritage but lets take on the largest and most successful navy of all time" Germany: "Good idea"
2
Quiet wehraboo, HMS Rodney bitch slapped Bismarck out of existence by itself
2
HMS Hood had the same armour as a Queen Elizabeth class battleship. She was designated as a battlecruiser in 1920 because she could do over 32 knots. If she was commissioned in 1939, the Hood would be called a fast battleship
2
HMS Rodney: im gonna end this ships career
2
So many Wehraboos in the comments
2
@connorbranscombe6819 British never cope. It is well known that he finest navy in history is the Royal Navy. The US Navy doesn’t come close, they just rely on numbers.
2
They were the only ships available. The fleet was stretched so thin performing convoy escort, fighting in Malta or Crete, patrolling the north sea, or guarding the iceland- faroe island passage
2
@theAEDan Because Churchill said it had to be sunk "at any cost". They took Rodney and Repulse off convoy escort and transferred Ark Royal from Gibraltar to deal with Bismarck.
2
Hood was sunk by luck and Barham was torpedoed. You know what is actually embarrassing, losing 75% of U Boat crews KIA🤡
2
Mark Harrisons 50th alt account. Holy f**k get a life
2
the deck wasnt wood
2
Cope harder. The Royal Navy kicked your ass time and time again and crushed your pathetic empire.
2
And why did Bismarcks crew scuttle the ship hmm? Why did they? Oh is it because the British were sinking it. Clown🤡
2
US did nothing in WW2, fun fact
1
Bismarck was outgunned.
1
@lewis7315 a battlecruiser would be called a fast battleship in the US Navy
1
Bismarck was overrated trash
1
@MrRandomcommentguy German steel wasnt even that good in WW2
1
Hood wasnt sunk by plunging fire
1
@KMS_Admiral_Hipper no but it shows that the Rodney was able to penetrate Bismarck and start fatal fires
1
You are wrong
1
no
1
@willshow5958 KGV had much better fire control, better armor layout and all around better electronics than Bismarck. The secondaries on Bis were also rather lackluster surface guns IRL except for the 150mm so KGV is actually slightly ahead there too. About the only advantage of Bismarck was the high quality 38cm cannons but even then it didn't have enough of them for the massive tonnage of the ship. Better way to describe Bismarck would be as the best WW1 design ever built.

@marckyle5895 go away yank
1
You must be American
1
@Datadog-1 absolutely
1
U boats got absolutely wrecked. 75% casualty rate in u boats
1
@updatedotexe Britain was still building newer KGV class battleships at a rate which Germany couldn’t hope to match with its inferior manufacturing capability. So the loss of HMS was only a blow to morale.
1
@richardodonoghue the deck armor was steel
1
Lies.

@charlesnorman7647 usa didnt do anything in ww2
