  1. I honestly think boycotting or voting with your dollar is effective. Whats difficult is the lack of choice for a lot of people because they live in a rural area where convenice and proximity is king, and often the competition was destoyed by a Walmart for general things, a Kroger brand for grocery, and then your generic sit-down and fast food chains push out local restaurants. You can go online but then you fall into a similar trap with Amazon or the online version of those big box stores like Best Buy and Target, etc.
