It's not impossible to have a conversation about race, both parties have to come into it with a bit of humility though or it spirals. I'm a white guy and my wife is black, we have a lot in common in terms of our personalities and how we want to spend our time, of course race comes up but we use humor and analogies keep those roads of communication clear. I think a lot of people give up before they try and are living in more fear than they need to, showing that you know something about the culture helps a lot too because it shows you care enough to educate yourself and people will be more lenient.

True, but also the people becoming elderly are made and are making choices that aren't benefiting future generations, the used the ladder and pulled it up with them.

All people's history in America is "American History". This country wouldn't be what it is today without talented and intelligent black folks creating our culture as we know it along the way. Black people are as much the "face of America" as anybody else, and you can try deleting this comment again but that is the truth as I see it.

I think it depends on what part of the history is highlighted and how it's done. America would not be what it is today without all the gifted and intelligent descendants of slaves and how they built and molded the culture along the way while also being denied equal status in the society that they were brought to. Black folks are as much the "face of America" as whites or any other group, it's propaganda that suggests otherwise. Every group has their own story in the US, it's all just "US History" to me.

@KDee404 I'm not sure, maybe it was just the algorithm but it wasn't here when I looked at a new comment from a different user here.
