@bnic9471 The guy with the gas-Mask moustache? Who? Napoleon basically only really ever fought a war of aggression 2 times - the infamous Russian invasion and the Portugal Invasion. Every other time, he was being attacked by other powers gaining up on him (or being dragged into it by dynastic strife in the case of Spain), followed by Napoleon carving them up. France during the Napoleonic Wars had the demographic, military, and economic strength (of any European nation) to subjugate the rest of Europe. That was a major threat to literally everyone else, so this created a cycle where Napoleon would carve out more land to try to get the other powers to stop and to strengthen his own position, only to get attacked again. Really, by the time we get to the Russia situation, one can reasonably argue that Napoleon was perfectly rational in assuming every European nation not allied with him or under his heel were potential adversaries. Because that had been the pattern for the past decade.

@bnic9471 Well, the Allies gave Hitler a ton of rope with Austria and Czechoslovakia. Also, he literally wrote a book about how he wanted to enslave the Slavs, so this isn’t really a situation that’s ambiguous.
