  2. Turkey Industrialized, but it’s far from being a developed nation. That’s an important distinction. The Chinese are upper middle income and are a superpower only due to sheer size, Turkey in this TL would be comparable in population to the USA. Oil money doesn’t help countries break the middle-income trap on the long run. Also, Israelis in OTL have pretty high birth rates, so the blacks may be less of a problem. Also, wouldn’t Turkey take Kuzestan and South Azerbaijan from Iran? Speaking of China, this TL would also make China’s ascension harder due to being surrounded on all sides by enemy states that the US could ally with. There’d be no belt-and-road because there’s no way they’d be able to connect it to China unless they beat the US navy.
