  2. Jon W LOL, those cities are not shitholes. Also, the problem with subways is the same as with highways- you’re always in a battle to meet demand or to build new ones. Excessive use of cars makes a city worse because parking lots are dead space. Why can’t you build subways with low clearance or profile in SF?
