@botswanainsight3804 There we’re also ‘Foreign SS’, which were composed of volunteers from…basically everywhere to fight against the Soviets. The SS was weird.

@lennartgosman3640 Which is why Turkey was the only NATO country to not abide by the sanctions? I guess the German government is a traitor to its own people for not falling to Russian demands?

Thing is, in practice, he’s actually been hard on Putin and Xi compared to previous presidents. Actions, not Rhetoric matter. Obama acted like he hated the CCP, but did nothing to stop them. Trump has been the opposite. Trump was ‘hard’ on his allies so he could renegotiate trade deals to benefit the US more. Regardless of what you think about this, he has fulfilled a key campaign promise.

@ten_tego_teges Ok, but if everyone talks on a private space, in practice, banning someone on the private space has similar effects to banning them on the public space. Hence, an exception to private property can be made while still keeping private property rights of the company intact by arguing that private space is effectively public space. I mean, we have laws preventing discrimination by race or age on private property. No one has a problem with that (well, most people), and it’s rarely considered an issue in the context of property rights. Why not ideas, if they are being discriminated against?
2
@ten_tego_teges I would imagine it depends on if a private area is large and open enough to be like a public space in practicality.

@hkchan1339 Yeah, only the UK recently allowed it, and I expect if Labour comes into power (very possible), for the ban to be reinstated. Also, they would need to ramp up production.

@od9694 Ukraine in the EU would be one of its largest members population-wise, creating a massive change in the balance of powers. Also, Bulgaria and Romania have not done well in the EU due to corruption (better than Ukraine, but still.)
2
Trump did not manage the strategy in the midterms. Trump only endorsed people. That’s the extent of his participation.

@nazimelhadi4700 Western Sahara is even more a lost cause than Palestine. Morocco basically already owns all of it. It’s over.

> Greens > Not acknowledging reality. Who could have seen this coming? Aside from, well, everyone. Facts they don’t like is almost toxic to most Greens.

@miroslavhoudek7085 TBF, living on welfare wouldn’t decrease the amount of societal decay. Having money doesn’t give people something to do.
2
@jonathanalvarez3875 Most goodwill with free trade has been lost due to it being abused for power by Russia and China. The only free trade deal that's still being tried by the US is Biden attempting to revive the Free Trade Area of the Americas... kind of.

Yes, because Trump destroyed NATO last time around?

Phyarth The Streetcar conspiracy is not taken seriously by any transit experts. Truth is, streetcars we’re just outdated. The fall of American Transit is more multi-layered and cultural than that.
1
Roman Bukins The big issue runs with Urban space. Cars are extremely space- inefficient and thus require building cities for cars, not humans. This has a ton of knock-on effects, like not being able to put businesses within a convenient distance to where people live. You can’t have a vibrant town center when half of your land is consumed by parking lots.

Joao vMR Do you have proof Simon is a billionaire? Because that’s be amazing if he was.

Uryendel Not as expensive as today- but still expensive.

Mexico has similar geography is is much wealthier (at least Northern Mexico.)

@User122-ty TBH, Trump is a unifying figure within the party. He’s toned down his rhetoric and he’s a former president who pretty much everyone at least respects. Even Haley (who was criticized for being too moderate) endorsed him. The issue is what happens after Trump leaves, as there’s not really a solid post-Trump ideology like with Reaganism.

The people who voted Brexit were generally lower-class. So they’re pretty happy by that arrangement. 😂

Divij Shah How fast? 20 years? We’ll probably have decent fuel cells by then. And it takes much longer to build a nuclear power plant than a wind turbine.

Divij Shah Develop breeder reactors.

@Sadoyasturadoglu So is Britain and Germany, but does that mean they should unite?
1
@Sadoyasturadoglu When, 'common union'? Are you talking about the personal union between Hannover and Britain? That was mostly just in name only and due to Henry 8th's lack of remaining heirs- the British basically just let the Hanoverians do whatever they wanted and ended the union without much resistance.
1
@Sadoyasturadoglu There is already the Organization of Turkic States.
1
Aussie Boy The USA is against illegal immigration. And that ‘phase’ has kind of passed since the border situation with Mexico and Islamic Terrorism is calmer now. Even Trump doesn’t care about the Wall anymore.

@TimCheong Does it take to account internal security spending?
1
Coman Rabiot He never said that.
1
@commie5211 Yes, and the Soviet Bloc only used the rubble within their system, and used dollars outside it.
