  1.  @weirdshibainu  Except during an Operation Downfall, the Germans WOULD have the fuel, and the food. The Soviets themselves were at the end of their supply lines, and while infrastructure in the West was relatively untouched thanks to the insubordination of Speer, the stuff in the East was pretty much wreaked.
