There are more Registered Democrats than Republicans, but voter registration =/= self-id. California and New York requires voter registration by party, and that massively skews the data. Also, tons of Southern states have people who are Independent ‘in name only’ (vote and identify as GOP nearly all the time and just never bothered to change their registration.)

@snakesandsticks Haley did meh in that state TBH. PA was Trump’s weakest state, but primary turnout for Trump is very high in every other swing state.

@marian-d4x6d Turnout also matters- AZ margins were lower, but Trump got far more votes (and AZ was also closed.) Haley also has higher name recognition vs Phillips.
