  1. The Cathars were treated atrociously. This aspect of French history is nauseating. What a twisted plague Catholicism became : a protest movement used for cultish hierarchical, delusional power games.....a tool for Machiavellian political ambition. . The "dual monarchy" between France and England during this time is interesting.
