  1. "The gun had been used earlier but improperly reloaded, with a dummy bullet accidentally jammed in the barrel. When Massee fired at Lee, that bullet was dislodged and struck Lee in the abdomen. He died at the age of 28 after six hours of surgery, and his death was ruled as an accident."
