Point is..... the simplistic, dramatic emphasis is a False Dichotomy Fallacy, it's a False Dilemma. Anything can be life or death....... Are cars life or death? etc...... The real truth of AI is that it is a pathway to speeding up human evolution...... to bring "alien" technologies into contemporary reality.

THE TOPIC IS NOT YOU Get an education in the topic instead of recreational indignation based in denial of technological progress and ignorance of both potential and practical reality. Nobody is interested in recreational indignation, least of all me. AI is a revolution, same as the industrial revolution, same the Bronze age etc...... Maybe instead of worrying and writing neurotic missives, why not direct attention to the miraculous transformative potential. Why not develop AI to benefit your life? It is a developing field. Can other species develop AI?

The dystopian aspects of AI from HAL to Bladerunner's Replicants have neen theatrically over emphasised. Reality is.....ubiquitous AI = inevitable. .AI = alien technology. Google's Deep Mind can do more than beat human players at complex games such as Go and Starcraft. Deep Mind is working with hospitals on a variety of tasks. There is alao a division dedicated to ethics and understanding the impact of the technology.

@kevinhero66h95 AlphaGo was replaced by Alpha Go Zero that played itself. AlphaGo Zero can beat the original computer 100 to 0. The game is very different to chess etc..... The implications are vast. Try learning.
