People like George Osborne, UK, hoped China would become a liberal western democracy, with open markets......and they were the Marco Polos. People dealing with China must learn Mandarin. Look at how the Chinese Communist Party treated harmless Falun Gong. The Government is savage, unconscionable and unaccountable in a way that defies western comprehension of political bureaucracy.
