  1. What he should do is incentivize and subsidize manufacturing and ban all Chinese imports. Wal Mart destroyed middle American stores using majority cheap Chinese goods.....now Amazon is doing the same. Solution : support manufacturing...... bring manufacturing back. .

  2. @jj Try re-reading the comment. By 1955, the U.S., with only 6% of the world's population, was turning out half the world's goods.

Though still a large part of the US economy, in Q1 2018 manufacturing contributed less to GDP then the 'Finance, insurance, real estate, rental, and leasing' sector, the 'Government' sector, or 'Professional and business services' sector."
