  12. I was in a COBOL programming class in 1998 and know about it only having 2 digit data fields for year entries. COBOL was a programming language written in the 1960s and was never meant to be used for so long. Every business used it for accounting, especially banks and government departments. Programmers had a massive task to keep financial systems' databases working because the year 2000 could NOT have a data value of 00. Whoever worked on the SSA's COBOL programming used "1985" as a stringname to loop in a subroutine program that allows 4-digit values for the year to be entered. Elin has effed the whole thing up. He's admitted to deleting entire parts of the programming. It will absolutely crash. Period. He's evil incarnate and will be the end of our economy. One person so full of himself, so out of touch with reality and ignorant that he doesn't care who he hurts or how many he kills. This is the crime of the millennia.
