  4. It's amazing. This guy calls the show bad for ten minutes while not actually giving much of a reason. Plus is weirdly wrong on a lot of details. It's like he based his opinions on reading a wiki summary of the episodes.

And he does not say he does not like it and instead declares it objectivly bad woke propaganda. He is giving such shitty and bad faith media critism it makes it almost impossible to have a real discusiion about the show. He is literally trying to politicize a show that has nothing remotely political about it. It's pretty messed up. and he even messes up basic plot point and straight up lies about the story. He is weirdly getting details wrong. Honestly it's so bad he legit may have not even watch the show.

  9. The problem with this comment it does realize that the show would actually improve how overly explaining stuff that does not matter. The ending already gives a large exposition dump so giving any more would be bad storytelling.

It was mentioned during a scene where the two lokis are getting to know each other and starting to form a relationship. This may shock you, but a LGBT character can exist without the whole story revolving around them and their LGBTness.

Plus he whispered no homo" Why is it a character that changes sex and even gave birth so importent that you pretend that this mythological god (who by the way the actually written stories were recontextualized and written by a Christian priest after the religion effectivly died ) totally falls into being a straight male? Your trying to recontextualized the already recontextualized and filtered mythology of a dead religion so, I guess argue that a character inspired and adapted from the dead mythology which again is adapted a second time (or third if counting the priest adapting from the oral mythology) to be recontextualized again, that this character being bi does not make sense?

In fact disney and marvel are public companies so they can't lie to share holders either. Why i'm I even explaining this to you. There is something to note from a story prospective he is a antogonist, supporting role, and now the protagonist. It makes sense why his character changes and different sides of his character shown as he fits different roles to the story.

It's just sad when people who have an audience and act as a position of authority and yet can barely make an argument. Sarah Z made a great video on bad media criticism and this guy is a perfect example of what she talks about.

By the time Norse stories where put in written word the religion was all but wiped out during the time it was first put into words and the retellings was written from a christian point of view from a priest. This basically means we have only a very loose idea of what the original stories actually where and many of the true nature of the gods are unknown. Even loki was probably not the devil stand in he is now.

  48. @Jonathan Cottrell when you say three things you need to seperate it into paragrapns or at list put a numer 1. 2. 3. What do you mean spend more time at TVA? In what story sense could this work? You may not relize this but lady loki is the antagonist for much of the story and she drives most of the plot. As in the story would be completely different. Also not sure what you mean the character is child like? The story is not about those other variants. They are minor characters and serve to inhence the overall story.

And to be real for a moment. it's the writers decision in how the character acts. He literally just agreed with me that his character is constsitent in the story. You're argument is a debatable nitpick. How do you know that this would not bring any change to his personality? If we actually want to good faith media criticsm here there could be a interesting discussion of how loki is a different character from the other films and made to be more tonely positive and commedy. Kind of how like thors character pre and post the third thor film. where thor was a very serioues character and then becomes a more joky and lighthearted character.
