  5. I stopped watching 'Have I Got News For You' after the BBC got rid of the best thing on it, Angus Deayton, and mediocre slime-balls Merton and Hislop didn't stand by him. Paul Merton is an imposter in the world of showbiz, and he knows it. Only woke culture would give a no-talent leftist like him a career in comedy.

  18.  @conjob8168  You are attempting to belittle him but he is an accomplished writer/performer, and anyway reading from a teleprompter is very very difficult to do well. If everybody could do it Ant and Dec wouldn't have been the top starts on tv for 20 years. My comment was about Merton and Hislop - glad to see that Stephen Fry refused to appear on the show again in protest against Deayton's treatment.
