  1. Yes Squadron Leader tell Putin we are not going to fight. That will stop him. Always amazed at how little ex-forces people understand about geo-politics. Russia can play the long game. It can wait, regroup, re-supply, retrain, and then go again. It needs to be defeated. You either understand that Russia as an enemy, or you don't. Ask Sweden's opinion. And as for buffers - should Finland not be in NATO because they share a border with Russia - no 'buffer' there, or with the Baltics either. You have mistaken 'understand your enemy' for 'sympathize with your enemy', a completely different thing.

  2.  @lloydbooth-w1j  Russian talking points. I just demonstrated how the 'buffer' claim is a selective argument. Russia has a border with China, it copes without one. If Russia was really afraid of a NATO invasion it wouldn't have stripped the huge Finnish border of forces.
