As ever this pair demonstrate zero understanding of geo-politics and war. Russia started it and could end it tomorrow. If they are rewarded for their aggression by some spurious peace then they will do it again. Did you learn nothing from the Second World War Hitchens?

@James-gf9jl I support Ukraine and NATO, don't you? Expecting peace without strength is the true 'luxury belief'. The lesson of history is that appeasement leads to war, not peace.

He has no idea why there is a war. Russia believes Ukraine is not a country; if you don't believe in countries then you don't believe in fighting for one.

@James-gf9jl This is purely a Russian perspective; nothing has actually changed, there is no baiting of Russia. Had it not been for a weak US President (and his old boss Obama) this war would never have happened.
